36-760. Persons and acts not affected by this article The provisions of this article do not apply to a person who provides information and support in preparation for a normal labor and delivery and assists in the delivery of a baby if that person does not do the following: 1. Advertise as a midwife or as a provider of midwife services. 2. Accept any form of compensation for midwife services. 3. Use any words, letters, signs or figures to indicate that the person is a midwife.
