Improvements as state property Upon payment by the state for improvements on state land taken over by the state or its departments or institutions the improvements shall become the property of the state. If the land subsequently is sold or leased to other parties, the purchaser or lessee shall reimburse the state for the improvements and the amount so received shall be placed in the general fund.
