38-494. Violations; classification A. A person violating any provision of this article is guilty of a class 2 misdemeanor. B. An officer or person charged with the administration of a civil service or merit system of employment of the state or a county, city, town or other political subdivision who knowingly refuses or fails to observe any provision of this article in the selection of a public employee, or in grading the examination papers of an applicant for employment as provided in section 38-492, is guilty of a class 3 misdemeanor.
