Actions to recover penalties; venue Actions to recover penalties under this chapter shall be brought by the commission in the name of the state in a court of competent jurisdiction in the county in which the cause or some part of the cause arose, or in which the corporation complained of, if any, has its principal place of business or an agent for any purpose, or in which the person resides, or in the county in which the commission has its office.
