40-431. Preventing officer or agent of public service corporation from examining property; violation; classification A. A duly appointed and authorized officer or agent of a public service corporation may, at all reasonable times, upon exhibiting written authority signed by the president, secretary or manager of the corporation, enter any premises using the product of such corporation for the purpose of inspecting and examining the property of the corporation, or for ascertaining the quantity of its product consumed. B. A person who knowingly prevents or interferes with such officer or agent entering such premises or making such examination or inspection is guilty of a class 2 misdemeanor.
