44-3293. Burden of proof of exemptions If a defense in any civil or criminal action is based on any exemption provided for in this chapter, the burden of proving the existence of the exemption is on the party raising the defense, and it is not necessary to negate the exemption in any petition, complaint, information or indictment made or brought in any proceeding under this chapter.
