48-1514. Division of district subsequent to organization A. At any time a majority of the owners in fee of all the lands constituting the district may file with the board of directors of the district a petition praying that the district be divided into divisions. The board of directors shall at least thirty days prior to the next succeeding regular election of directors, make an order dividing the district into three divisions as nearly equal in size as practicable and the divisions shall be numbered consecutively. B. One director who is an elector and a resident freeholder of the division shall be elected by each division as provided by article 3 of this chapter. In addition to the three directors, two directors who are resident electors and freeholders of the district shall be elected at large by the qualified electors of the district.
