48-2101. Definitions In this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires: 1. ' Agricultural land' means property that has a current agricultural use designation from the county assessor. 2. ' Board' means a county board of supervisors. 3. ' Director' means one or all of the board of directors of a pest abatement district established pursuant to this chapter. 4. ' District' means a pest abatement district established pursuant to this chapter and includes the governing body of the district and all its authorized personnel. 5. ' Landowner' means a person who owns land within the boundaries of a proposed or existing district. 6. ' Pest' means any arthropods, rats and mice that the district determines to be a public nuisance to persons or property. Pest does not include arthropods which primarily attack agricultural crops.
