48-3443. Term of office; vacancies A. The trustees appointed at the organization of the district, or elected thereafter, shall hold office for two years from January 1 following their appointment or election and until their successors are elected or appointed and qualified. B. The office of a trustee who removes from the district or who ceases to possess the qualifications of a trustee shall become vacant, and the remaining members shall within thirty days appoint a successor to fill the vacancy for the unexpired term, and issue a certificate of appointment.
