48-831. Exemption of fire fighters from military duty Fire fighters employed by fire districts organized in any incorporated city or town of one thousand or more inhabitants, or in any unincorporated town of not less than five hundred inhabitants shall, while an employee, be exempt from performance of military duty in time of peace.
