49-1010. Preemption of local regulation; delegation of administrative authority A. The provisions of this chapter and the rules which implement this chapter, as they relate to the identification, prevention and remediation of releases of regulated substances from underground storage tanks are of statewide concern and shall not be subject to further local regulation. B. The director, by intergovernmental agreement or otherwise, may delegate to other departments or agencies and to a city, town or county the authority to administer the provisions of and enforce all or any part of this chapter or the rules adopted pursuant to this chapter.
