49-553. Vehicle emissions; research; cost analysis A. The department of environmental quality may conduct research to quantify the effect of vehicular emissions. B. The department may hire consultants for the purpose of analyzing the costs and benefits of the emissions reduction measures adopted by this chapter and to design and execute and to evaluate the results of any testing program required by this chapter.
