6-124. Investigations; compelling testimony and the production of documents; self-incrimination A. The deputy director may conduct examinations and investigations within or outside this state to determine whether any person has engaged, is engaging or is about to engage in any act, practice or transaction which constitutes an unsafe or unsound practice or a violation of any law or rule applicable to persons subject to the jurisdiction of the deputy director or any order of the deputy director or to aid in the enforcement of this title or to aid in adopting rules. B. The deputy director and any examiner or administrative law judge, in the performance of the deputy director's, examiner's or administrative law judge's duties, may take evidence, examine on oath any person and compel the attendance of witnesses and the production of documents, books and papers. On refusal to appear or produce, the deputy director may apply to the superior court in Maricopa county to compel appearance or production. C. All financial institutions and enterprises shall, on request of the deputy director, make their books and records available for inspection and examination by the deputy director or the
