Section 1-5-112 - POW/MIA Recognition Day

(a) The third Friday in September shall be known as 'POW/MIA Recognition Day' to honor American prisoners of war and those missing in action, all of whom have made extraordinary sacrifices on behalf of the United States of America.(b) POW/MIA Recognition Day shall not be a legal holiday, but shall be a memorial day to be commemorated by the issuance of an appropriate proclamation by the Governor.Acts 1999, No. 917, § 1.
