(a) January 27 of each year shall be known as 'Firefighter Recognition Day' in order to honor the men and women who make extraordinary sacrifices on behalf of the citizens of the State of Arkansas while in the line of duty.(b) Firefighter Recognition Day shall not be a legal holiday but shall be a memorial day to be commemorated by the issuance of an appropriate proclamation by the Governor.Acts 2005, No. 444, § 1.
