Section 11-7-402 - Director of the Division of Labor - Power to administer oaths

(a) To more effectively carry out the intentions and purposes of this section and §§ 11-7-409 - 11-7-414, the Director of the Division of Labor may administer oaths to all persons who are applicants, or who may vouch, in any manner, for the previous service or qualifications of an applicant to obtain for him or her a certificate under this section and §§ 11-7-409 - 11-7-414.(b) A person who falsely testifies or swears to any matter material to the examination or to the service or qualification of an applicant is guilty of perjury.Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 5347, eff. 7/1/2019.Amended by Act 2017, No. 266,§ 2, eff. 8/1/2017.Acts 1949, No. 268, § 17; A.S.A. 1947, § 52-517.
