(a) The State Crime Laboratory Board may authorize the Director of the State Crime Laboratory to contract with a medical school in this state accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or approved by the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board to seek accreditation by an accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education, or with other persons or institutions, to obtain services with which to perform the duties set forth in this subchapter.(b) The participation of a medical school's faculty or of any other person or institution in carrying out the provisions of this subchapter shall in no way affect tenure or any other status with the medical school or institution.Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 5846, eff. 7/1/2019.Amended by Act 2017, No. 147,§ 2, eff. 2/7/2017.Acts 1979, No. 864, § 5; A.S.A. 1947, § 42-1207.
