Section 12-8-127 - Food and medical care for retired canine

(a) The Department of Public Safety shall provide payment of up to two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) per year for the costs of food, flea and tick infestation prevention, and veterinarian bills for a canine that is: (1) Retired from the Division of Arkansas State Police; and(2) Adopted by a division canine handler.(b) The department shall promulgate rules for the implementation of this section.Added by Act 2023, No. 113,§ 2, eff. 8/1/2023. Act 2023, No. 113,§ 2provides that his act shall be known and may be cited as Rino's Law.
