A former county sheriff of a county who has served as county sheriff within that county for at least eight (8) years and who meets all minimum hiring standards prescribed by the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training is qualified to be employed as a law enforcement officer with a municipality, county, or state board.Amended by Act 2015, No. 1045,§ 1, eff. 7/22/2015.Acts 1999, No. 1472, § 2.
