Section 12-41-103 - Good time - Forfeiture and restoration

(a) All meritorious good time shall be forfeited by the inmate in the event of escape, and all or part of the accrued meritorious good time may be taken away by the county sheriff or chief of police for infraction of rules.(b) However, in the event of escape, the county sheriff or chief of police may restore all or part of any accrued meritorious good time if the escapee returns to the institution voluntarily, without expense to the county or city, and without any act of violence while a fugitive from the institution.(c) In other instances, the county sheriff or chief of police may restore lost meritorious good time according to rules approved by the county quorum court or city legislative body.Acts 1979, No. 639, § 3; A.S.A. 1947, § 46-426.
