Section 12-64-507 - Service of charges

(a) The trial counsel to whom court-martial charges are referred for trial shall cause to be served upon the accused, or the defense counsel, a copy of the charges upon which trial is to be held.(b) In time of peace, no person may, against his or her objection, be brought to trial before a general court-martial within a period of five (5) days after the service of the charges upon him or her or before a special court-martial within a period of three (3) days after the service of the charges upon him or her.Amended by Act 2019, No. 211,§ 15, eff. 2/26/2019.Acts 1969, No. 50, § 81; A.S.A. 1947, § 11-636.
