Section 12-64-829 - Misconduct as a prisoner

Any person subject to this code shall be punished as a court-martial may direct if he or she, while in the hands of the enemy in time of war:(1) For the purpose of securing favorable treatment by his or her captors, acts without proper authority in a manner contrary to law, custom, rule, or regulation, to the detriment of other of whatever nationality held by the enemy as civilian or military prisoners; or(2) While in a position of authority over such persons, maltreats them without justifiable cause.Amended by Act 2019, No. 315,§ 963, eff. 7/24/2019.Acts 1969, No. 50, § 147; A.S.A. 1947, § 11-729.
