Section 13-2-904 - Board of trustees

(a)(1)(A) The management and control of a regional library system shall be vested in a board of trustees, who shall be appointed by the county or municipal library boards from among the membership of the county or municipal library boards.(B) In the absence of the county or municipal library board, the governing body of the county or municipality shall appoint the trustees to the regional library board.(2) The number of trustees shall be agreed upon by the governing bodies of the municipality or municipalities and with the county quorum courts which have agreed with each other or among themselves to create, maintain, and support the system.(b) Each trustee shall be a resident and qualified elector of the municipality or county represented on the regional library board.(c)(1) Vacancies on the regional library board shall be filled in the same manner in which members of the regional library board were first appointed.(2) Any trustee who shall not attend three (3) consecutive meetings of the regional library board without reasonable explanation shall be subject to removal by the municipal or county body which is the appointing authority.(d)(1) A trustee shall not receive salary or
