If any member of the board shall cease to be a resident or owner of real estate in any of the improvement districts upon which his qualification as to ownership of property and residence shall be based or, if he shall resign from the board, his office shall be deemed vacant and any vacancy upon the board for that reason specified shall be filled by a majority vote of the remaining members thereof.Acts 1939, No. 95, § 3; A.S.A. 1947, § 19-4003.
