Nothing in this subchapter shall be construed to prevent the organization of a volunteer fire department or district pursuant to the provisions of Arkansas law. If such a volunteer fire department or district is organized after January 1, 1992, the Department of Finance and Administration shall distribute funds provided by § 26-57-614 and this subchapter upon due compliance by the volunteer fire department and district with the eligibility requirements of this subchapter and §§ 20-22-801 - 20-22-809.Acts 1991, No. 833, § 4.
