Section 14-14-612 - Abandonment of alternative plan

(a) A county quorum court may abandon any alternative county organization plan, or any part or section thereof, adopted by the electors pursuant to this subchapter, by referral and adoption of a revised organizational plan at a general election. However, no revised alternative county organization plan shall be considered by the electors until four (4) years have elapsed after the date of the referendum at which the original plan was adopted.(b) Nothing in this section, however, shall be construed as a limitation on a quorum court to submit a proposal to the electors at a general election for multicounty consolidation of an elective office.Acts 1977, No. 742, § 66; A.S.A. 1947, § 17-3713.
