Section 14-16-111 - Development of port facilities

(a) Any county in this state which is partially bounded by a navigable stream or through which a navigable stream flows may independently, or jointly with another county, or with one (1) or more municipalities, establish, equip, maintain, and operate a river port or port facility at an appropriate place in the county. The county may issue bonds to provide funds for the construction and operation of the port facility in the manner and under the conditions and requirements as prescribed in §§ 14-186-401 - 14-186-417.(b) The provisions of this section shall be supplemental to and shall not repeal, modify, or otherwise affect any other laws of this state relating to the establishment of port facilities by counties and cities in this state.Acts 1971, No. 150, §§ 1, 2; A.S.A. 1947, §§ 17-320, 17-320n.
