Section 14-54-501 - Authority to control use

The governing bodies of the municipalities of this state are delegated the power and authority to enact ordinances to limit and control the use of areas adjacent to shopping centers and other commercial enterprises which are privately owned, but which are maintained for the convenience of the public, so as to provide ingress and egress, loading and unloading areas, fire lanes, parking spaces, parking areas designated for the exclusive use of disabled persons, and other measures for the safety and convenience of the public.Acts 1973, No. 472, § 1; 1985, No. 527, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 19-2350.
