(a) Cities of the first and second class shall have the authority, in addition to the powers now granted by law, to construct, maintain, and operate municipal ice plants.(b)(1) Funds may be used for the construction, maintenance, and operation of ice plants derived from the operation of any other public utility owned or operated by the city.(2) This subsection shall not apply to public utilities constructed, owned, or operated by an improvement district.Acts 1933, No. 101, §§ 1, 2; Pope's Dig., §§ 9974, 9975; A.S.A. 1947, §§ 19-2320, 19-2321.
