Section 14-55-604 - Working out of fines

The city council may, at its discretion, provide, by ordinance, that fines imposed for violation of ordinances may be discharged by the offender working out the fine upon the streets or alleys of the towns, at the rate prescribed in § 16-90-108, and may adopt all necessary regulations for the safekeeping, management, and control of offenders while working out the fine.Acts 1875, No. 1, § 9, p. 1; C. & M.
