A city affected by this chapter that is organized under the management form of government on July 3, 1989, shall continue to elect members of the board of directors, or mayor, or both, and to compensate them in the manner used at the time of the general election immediately preceding July 3, 1989, unless the city chooses, at a special election called for that purpose, to exercise one (1) of the options provided in this chapter.Acts 1989, No. 907, § 3.
