Section 14-88-401 - Penalty for misuse of funds generally

Any commissioner, treasurer, attorney, or other subordinate officer appointed by a municipal board of improvement who uses or lends, or who participates, directly or indirectly, in any loan or use of funds belonging to the improvement district, for other than district purposes, shall be guilty of a felony. Upon conviction, he shall be confined in the penitentiary for a period of not more than five (5) years nor less than two (2) years.Acts 1949, No. 195, § 24; 1953, No. 210, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 20-124.1.
