(a) The members of a municipal improvement board of assessment shall receive such compensation as the board of improvement shall determine.(b) The compensation shall be paid out of the funds collected by taxation of the local improvements or out of the proceeds of the money borrowed or bonds issued by the improvement district, as determined by the board of improvement.Acts 1899, No. 183, § 9, p. 323; C. & M.
