Section 15-4-3802 - Legislative intent

The General Assembly intends for this subchapter to:(1) Create, strengthen, and expand local farm and food economies throughout the state;(2) Support and encourage the procurement of local farm or food products as a significant portion of all food products purchased by the state; and(3) Secure data on the procurement of local farm or food products prepared and consumed within agencies.Amended by Act 2019, No. 796,§ 1, eff. 7/24/2019.Added by Act 2017, No. 617,§ 1, eff. 8/1/2017.
