(a) The State Surveyor or any employee of the Department of Transformation and Shared Services or of the Division of Land Surveys of the Arkansas Geographic Information Systems Office shall have the right to enter upon private property for the purpose of making surveys or searching for, locating, relocating, or remonumenting land monuments, levelling stations, or section corners.(b) Employees of the department or division shall be immune from arrest for trespass in performing their duties as prescribed in this subchapter and under the direction of a registered professional land surveyor but shall always, when practical, announce and identify themselves and their intentions before entering upon private property.Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 6072, eff. 7/1/2019.Amended by Act 2017, No. 145,§ 6, eff. 8/1/2017.Amended by Act 2015EX1, No. 8,§ 146, eff. 7/1/2015.Amended by Act 2015EX1, No. 7,§ 146, eff. 7/1/2015.Acts 1973, No. 458, § 7; A.S.A. 1947, § 10-1307.
