Section 15-32-411 - Wages for piecework

(a) All wages for piecework when applied to the severance of timber on a cordage basis when the piecework is paid for on the basis of measures of volume or weight shall be computed upon the basis of the measures of volume or weight as the measures of volume or weight are now or may hereafter be defined by the statutes of the State of Arkansas.(b) Any employer who, in paying wages for piecework, makes payment of an amount less than the wages earned when computed as provided in subsection (a) of this section, shall be liable to his or her employee for two (2) times the difference between the amount paid and the amount of wages earned when computed as provided in subsection (a) of this section.Acts 1939, No. 57, §§ 1, 2; A.S.A. 1947, §§ 54-312, 54-313.
