(a) Upon the filing of a petition as provided in this section, the Oil and Gas Commission after notice shall hold a public hearing to consider the need for the operation as a unit of an entire pool or any portion thereof to prevent waste, to increase ultimate recovery of oil and gas, and to protect correlative rights.(b) The petition shall contain the following: (1) A description of the proposed unit area;(2) A statement of the nature of the proposed unit operation; and(3) A conformed copy of the proposed unit operating agreement, which may be a composite of executed counterparts of the agreement.(c) The petition may be filed by one (1) or more persons authorized in the unit operating agreement to file it with the commission.Acts 1939, No. 105, § 15; 1951, No. 134, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 53-115.
