Section 15-72-405 - Conservator

In a proper case, the circuit court may direct the sheriff to deliver the custody of any illegal oil, illegal gas, or illegal product seized by him or her under an order of seizure, to a conservator to be appointed by the court, which conservator shall act as the agent of the court and shall give bond with an approved surety as the court may direct, conditioned that the conservator will faithfully conserve any illegal oil, illegal gas, or illegal product which may come into his or her custody and possession in accordance with the orders of the court. However, the court may in its discretion appoint any member of the commission or any agent of the commission as the conservator.Acts 1939, No. 105, § 24; A.S.A. 1947, § 53-124.
