Section 16-5-102 - Damage resulting from installation of free smoke alarms - Liability

(a) No volunteer firefighter shall be civilly liable for personal injury or property damage resulting from any act or omission in the installation of a smoke alarm provided free of charge if the act or omission did not constitute intentional wrongdoing.(b) No board member of any fire department nor administrative personnel of any fire department shall be civilly liable for personal injury or property damage resulting from any act or omission of a volunteer firefighter in installation of a smoke alarm provided free of charge.Acts 1991, No. 891, § 1.
