(a) The chancellors of the Sixth Judicial District shall appoint a Chancery Clerk for Pulaski County. If the chancellors are unable to agree on the appointment, the Chief Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court shall name the Chancery Clerk for Pulaski County.(b) The Chancery Clerk of Pulaski County may appoint as many deputies as necessary to carry out the duties of the clerk's office.Acts 1979, No. 211, § 2; A.S.A. 1947, § 22-417.11.
