Section 16-17-119 - Counties with populations over 250,000 - District court expenses

(a)(1) The salaries and operational expenses of district courts in any county having a population of two hundred fifty thousand (250,000) or more inhabitants according to the most recent federal census shall be paid by the city or town in which the court is located.(2) No portion of these expenses shall be paid by the county in which the court is located.(b) This section shall not apply to a district court funded solely by a county.(c) This section shall not apply to any town or city that has abolished a department of a district court pursuant to state law.Acts 1979, No. 801, §§ 1, 2; A.S.A. 1947, §§ 22-764, 22-765; Acts 1992 (1st Ex.
