Section 16-86-112 - Escape of committed person

(a) A person committed to the state hospital in compliance with this chapter who escapes from the hospital shall be returned to the jurisdiction of the committing court upon his or her apprehension.(b) After the return of the person to the jurisdiction of the committing court, the court may recommit him or her to the Arkansas State Hospital for further examination or make such other orders as, in its discretion, may be deemed necessary to provide for the custody of the person.Acts 1971, No. 433, ch. 6, §§ 10, 11; A.S.A. 1947, §§ 43-1310, 43-1311.
