Section 16-93-703 - Procedures - Place of hearings

(a) The Post-Prison Transfer Board shall not schedule parole hearings at which victims or relatives of victims of crime are invited to appear at a facility wherein inmates are housed other than the Central Administration Building of the Division of Correction at Pine Bluff.(b) Nothing in this section shall be construed as prohibiting the board from conducting parole hearings in two (2) sessions, one (1) at the place of the inmate's incarceration for interviews with the inmate, the inmate's witnesses, and correctional personnel, and the second session for victims and relatives of victims as set out in subsection (a) of this section.Amended by Act 2023, No. 659,§ 200, eff. 1/1/2024.Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 919, eff. 7/1/2019.Acts 1983, No. 525, §§ 1, 2; A.S.A. 1947, §§ 43-2819.1, 43-2819.2; Acts 2011, No. 570, § 104.
