Section 16-94-225 - Immunity from service of process

A person brought into this state on extradition based on a criminal charge shall not be subject to service of personal process in civil actions arising out of the same facts as the criminal proceeding to answer which he or she is returned, until he or she has been convicted in the criminal proceeding, or if acquitted, until he or she has had ample opportunity to return to the state from which he or she was extradited.Acts 1935, No. 126, § 25; Pope's Dig., § 6105; A.S.A. 1947, § 43-3025.
