Section 17-17-105 - License required - Penalty for violation

(a) On and after July 1, 1989, it shall be unlawful for any person to act as an auctioneer or to advertise or to assume to act as either within this state without a license issued by the Auctioneer's Licensing Board.(b) Any person who violates subsection (a) of this section shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500), or by imprisonment for a term not to exceed ninety (90) days, or both.Acts 1989, No. 266, §§ 4, 19.
