Section 17-25-311 - Corporations and partnerships - Unlawful acts

(a) A corporation or partnership may engage in the business of contracting when licensed by the Contractors Licensing Board.(b) It shall be unlawful and a violation of this chapter for any two (2) or more contractors, whether doing business as individuals, partnerships, corporations, or other organizations, to jointly submit a bid or enter into a contract for construction as a joint venture unless all parties to the joint venture are licensed pursuant to this chapter.(c) Any combination of contractors other than a joint venture shall obtain a license for the combination before submitting a bid.Acts 1965, No. 150, § 17; 1985, No. 180, § 5; A.S.A. 1947, § 71-716.
