(a)(1) Upon reaching the age of sixty-five (65), or any time thereafter, any person who has been a licensed master electrician or a licensed journeyman electrician licensed by the Board of Electrical Examiners of the State of Arkansas for not less than twelve (12) years may apply for a restricted lifetime master electrician license or a restricted lifetime journeyman electrician license.(2) This license shall be issued upon satisfactory proof of age and upon payment of a fee prescribed by the board.(b) Any individual issued a restricted lifetime electrician license after July 28, 2021, shall complete continuing education hours as required by rule of the board for any period in which electrical work is performed for remunerative purposes, whether as an employee or an independent contractor.(c) The board shall promulgate rules necessary to carry out the provisions of this section.Amended by Act 2021, No. 720,§ 1, eff. 7/28/2021.Amended by Act 2019, No. 315,§ 1394, eff. 7/24/2019.Acts 1995, No. 1121, § 1.
