A funeral director or embalmer licensed pursuant to § 17-29-301 et seq. who has completed a course in eye enucleation and has received a certificate of competence from the Department of Ophthalmology of the University of Arkansas College of Medicine may enucleate the eyes of a deceased person pursuant to a disposition or gift thereof by the decedent or another person in the manner prescribed in the Revised Arkansas Anatomical Gift Act, § 20-17-1201 et seq., after proper certification of death by a physician.Acts 1973, No. 425, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 71-920; Acts 2007, No. 839, § 2.
