Section 17-36-307 - Revocation proceedings

(a)(1) A person may prefer charges of fraud, deceit, gross negligence, incompetency, or misconduct against a licensee. The charges shall be: (A) In writing;(B) Sworn to by the person making them; and(C) Filed with the Arkansas State Board of Architects, Landscape Architects, and Interior Designers.(2) On its own motion, the board may initiate a proceeding against a licensee.(b) All charges deemed worthy of consideration by the board shall be investigated by the board.(c)(1) When the board determines that there is sufficient evidence of a violation of this chapter or board rules, the board may conduct a hearing.(2) The board shall conduct the hearing under the Arkansas Administrative Procedure Act, § 25-15-201 et seq.(d) If after the hearing the board finds that the individual has violated applicable law, the board may impose any one (1) or more of the following sanctions: (1) Suspension, revocation, or denial of the license or renewal thereof;(2) A civil penalty as provided in § 17-15-203;(3) Require completion of appropriate educational programs or courses;(4) Require successful completion of the licensing examination;(5) Place conditions or restrictions upon the licensee's
