Section 17-43-310 - Proceedings for suspension, revocation, or refusal to renew

(a) Before the Arkansas State Board of Sanitarians may suspend, revoke, or refuse to renew a certificate of registration, it shall set the matter for a hearing before the board.(b) At least twenty (20) days before the date set for hearing, the board shall give written notice of the charges made and the date and place of the hearing to the accused.(c) Service of the notice may be made by personal service or by sending it by registered mail to the last known business address of the accused.(d) The accused shall have the opportunity to be heard in person and by counsel.(e) A stenographic record of the hearing shall be kept and a transcript of the hearing filed with the board.(f) The order of the board shall be made within thirty (30) days after the termination of the hearing.(g) Notice of the order of the board shall be given to the accused, either by personal service or by registered mail sent to the last known business address of the accused within ten (10) days after the order is made.Acts 1957, No. 281, § 18; A.S.A. 1947, § 71-1618.
